ZEZE, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("ZEZE," "we," "us"), operates the website at zezepayments.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site only; the merchant processing agreement you sign with ZEZE and its processing partners governs the processing relationship itself.
Our address is 5070 N 40th St, Ste. 140, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Questions about this policy go to support@zezepayments.com or (480) 737-0532.
1. Information we collect
We collect information only when you give it to us through a form on the Site, plus a small amount of technical information described in Section 5.
Contact and lead forms (Contact, Have ZEZE call me, high-risk inquiry, partner application): your name, business name, email address, phone number, the topic or vertical you choose, your message, and for partner applicants, your city and state, experience, existing payments relationships, and how you would find merchants.
Savings estimator: the figures you enter (monthly card volume, your current rate or fees, your current provider, the pricing model you chose) and, if you ask us to call you, your contact details. The estimate itself is calculated in your browser; nothing is stored unless you submit the call-me form.
Find your setup: your answers (business type, how you take payments, a volume band, your current provider, whether you want an ATM). These are stored without any name, email, phone, or other identifier so we can see which paths people take.
Statement analysis: your business name, contact name, email, phone, monthly volume, current provider, and the processing statement or competitor quote you upload. Statements contain financial information about your business, including your merchant identification number, card volumes, and fees.
Merchant pre-application: everything a merchant account application requires. This includes business details (legal name, DBA, entity type, state of incorporation, EIN, addresses, website, phone), processing details (sales volumes, ticket sizes, sales mix, return policy, prior processing history), equipment and pricing selections, and for each owner of 25% or more: name, title, ownership percentage, email, mobile number, home address, date of birth, driver's license number and state, a photo of the driver's license, and Social Security number. It also includes your bank name, account type, routing number, account number, and a voided check or bank letter. We ask for this because the processing partners and sponsor banks that underwrite merchant accounts require it.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The Site is for businesses.
2. How we use it
- To respond to you: prepare your statement analysis, quote, or ATM, software, or capital inquiry, and call, text, or email you back.
- To open your merchant account: review your application, submit it to our processing partners and their sponsor banks for underwriting, prepare your agreement for electronic signature, and order and program your equipment.
- To run the partner program: review partner applications and contact applicants.
- To run the Site: keep forms working, prevent abuse and spam, and understand which pages and tools are used (see Section 5).
- To meet legal obligations, including card-network rules, anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer requirements that apply to merchant underwriting, and record-keeping.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anyone else's marketing.
3. Who we share it with
Payment processors and their sponsor banks. Your application, including the owner and bank information above, is shared with the processor and bank that will underwrite and hold your merchant account. They use it under their own agreements and privacy policies, which you receive with your merchant agreement.
Service providers that run the Site for us. Our hosting provider (Vercel), our database and file storage provider (Supabase, stored in the United States), and our email delivery provider (Resend). Each may process information only to provide its service to us.
Internal delivery. When you submit a form, its contents are emailed to ZEZE's support mailbox so our team can act on it. For the merchant pre-application, that email contains the complete application, including the owner and bank information, and any uploaded documents. That mailbox is restricted to ZEZE staff and protected by two-step verification.
Equipment, software, and ATM partners. If your setup includes a point-of-sale system, software, or an ATM supplied through a partner, we share the business contact and order details needed to deliver, install, and support it.
Analytics and advertising partners, only with your consent. See Section 5.
Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, card-network rules, or a sponsor bank's audit, or to protect ZEZE, our merchants, or others from fraud or harm. If ZEZE is sold or merges, your information may transfer with the business under this policy.
4. How we protect it and how long we keep it
Statements and competitor quotes are uploaded directly to private storage over an encrypted connection. They are never public, are shared internally only through links that expire in seven days, and are deleted 90 days after you upload them. Your contact details and the request record are kept so we can follow up.
Pre-application data. Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, EINs, and bank routing and account numbers are encrypted in our database with a key held separately from the data, and are shown masked everywhere except when a ZEZE staff member needs the full value. Driver's license photos and bank documents are stored privately and deleted 90 days after your account is approved or declined, and in any case within 180 days of submission. The application record itself is kept for as long as you are a ZEZE merchant and for the period afterward that our processing partners, sponsor banks, and the card networks require, after which it is deleted.
Saved drafts. If you save a pre-application and finish later, the link we email you is valid for 30 days. Unfinished drafts are deleted after 30 days.
Leads and inquiries are kept while we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterward so we can honor the no-pressure promise we make: if you tell us to stop contacting you, we will.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The Site uses one cookie-like value by default: a setting in your browser that remembers whether you accepted or declined optional analytics. Forms also keep a temporary value so a saved pre-application can be resumed on the same device.
With your consent, given through the banner on your first visit, we load Google Analytics to see which pages and tools are used, and the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising. Both set cookies and send your device and browsing information on this Site to Google and Meta. We never load them on the pre-application or statement-upload pages, and we never load them at all if you decline. You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie choices" link in the footer, and your browser's settings let you block or delete cookies.
Under California law, loading an advertising pixel can be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Declining the banner, or using the "Do not sell or share my personal information" link in the footer, stops it.
We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because there is no agreed standard; we do honor the Global Privacy Control signal by treating it as a decline.
6. Text messages and calls
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your inquiry, quote, or application, and about your account once you are a merchant. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texting, or tell us by phone or email. We do not send marketing texts without separate consent.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it.
- Withdraw consent to analytics or advertising cookies at any time (Section 5).
- Ask us not to contact you.
Email support@zezepayments.com or write to the address above. We will verify that the request comes from you and respond within the time the law allows, generally 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. Some information cannot be deleted while you have an open application or an active merchant account, or where a processor, sponsor bank, card network, or law requires us to keep it; we will tell you if that applies.
If you are a California resident, the rights above include those under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the "Do not sell or share" link in Section 5 is how to opt out of sharing. Residents of other states with similar laws have the same choices by contacting us.
8. Links to other sites
The Site links to our partners' and other companies' websites. Their privacy practices are their own.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
